Tea Kettle Found
Sometimes it seems like life is just a whole lot of overwhelming Then God brings wonderful people into your life to remind you once again how he looks out for you. Today, three beautiful and delightful young ladies, worked for hours to unpack my kitchen and begin to get things organized in our new home here in San Antonio.
We (and mostly that is a royal “we” as in they did all the work and I tried to tell them where things would go) worked some long hours today.
It took the entire day to find the silverware but they were determined to find it. They moved boxes and Rubbermaid tubs multiple times looking for that silverware. We found pots, pans, cast iron, dishes, glasses, wine, and home canned tomato sauce. However, it was in the final hour, before I needed to return them to their home, that we finally found the silverware.
Now John and I have everything we need to cook breakfast tomorrow morning. As wonderful as the invention of cold cereal has been to America, hot cakes and sausage can’t be beat. Yeah, tomorrow’s breakfast will be a hot one.
Once again, God’s people are amazing. These young ladies were amazingly generous with their time and their talent. In one day, they made a huge dent in the unpacking. We actually have carpeting in the living room. Who knew? Just hours ago it was covered in boxes.
I am so excited to report that today we found the tea kettle and the iced tea maker. Both are working as we speak. As soon as I post this I will be enjoying my first cup of soothing hot tea since moving to San Antonio. I am making this a short post as the kettle just began whistling.
Ok, I just started the tea steeping. In 2 minutes, I am out of here. Won’t you join me and enjoy a soothing cup of tea tonight?
